Everton must plough on with imaginative transfer for Lorient winger Dango Ouattara
Everton must plough on with a transfer for Lorient winger Dango Ouattara after news broke on January 9 that the club have made an enquiry for him, according to Daily Mail.
The Toffees find themselves in a relegation scrap and Frank Lampard is looking to explore multiple options on the market to bolster his failing squad.
The Daily Mail reports that Ouattara has been placed under consideration by Everton in an “imaginative” transfer attempt with the current financial constraints at the club.

“Everton have made an enquiry for Lorient winger Dango Ouattara, 20, who has also attracted attention from Leicester City,” as quoted by the Daily Mail.
“With pressure growing on Frank Lampard and finances tight at the club, it is thought that they will have to be imaginative to try and improve their squad to ensure their Premier League status for next season.”
The silky winger is exactly the kind of imaginative transfer the Blues should be considering and could prove to be a shrewd bit of business.
Surprise package.
Ouattara has been a key part of Lorient’s surprise run in Ligue 1 this campaign and his team are currently on the hunt for a European spot.
With five goals and five assists to his name he has been a crucial cog within their classy setup and it’s nice to see the Blues being linked with a shrewd move for the winger.

Foot Mercato reported on January 8 that Everton had launched a €20m (£17m) bid for the winger, something which ties in well with the Mails enquiry links.
This all but confirms that there is a solid amount of interest from the Toffees in Ouattara which bodes well for this surprising transfer to become a reality.
Everton needs something different in their squad and the Burkina Faso international would provide just that with his pacey and physical attributes.
He has a contract till 2024 and there have been talks of a potential extension of his current deal, something that may be a slight stumbling block for the Blues.
But the promise of top-flight action in England and a new bumper contract may be enough to persuade the winger to join Goodison Park, hopefully, this one can be pulled off.
