Everton eye move for Hull City striker Oscar Estupinan in January window

Everton are considering making a move for Hull City striker Oscar Estupinan in the January window, according to a report from Las2Orillas.

The Toffees are looking to bolster their attacking department this month, and their quest for a new striker has brought them to Estupinan, who has scored 11 goals in the Championship this season.

The Colombia striker is on the Toffees’ radar, and he is available for a fee of around £5.3m, which is a bargain and well within the club’s budget.

Move on

The 26-year-old joined Hull City in the summer and has been brilliant for the Yorkshire club.

He has previously played in the Portuguese league and in the Turkish league, and therefore has got some experience.

Everton should look for better options in the market. If they are intended on signing someone from the Championship, then the club could easily pursue their interest in Ben Brereton Diaz who has got a tremendous scoring record.

The finance could be an issue here. The club is operating on a modicum budget, and they are mostly looking at loan signings.

Having said that, the Toffees should explore other options, and Estupinan shouldn’t be on top of their priority list at the moment.

The club are struggling for survival in the Premier League, and Frank Lampard does need to bolster the attacking areas.

He needs to get his signings spot on. In the summer, the Toffees paid big to sign Neal Maupay from Brighton and he has proved to be a massive flop.

Let’s hope the interest in the Hull City striker is not concrete, and that he is just another option for the club.
