Arnaut Danjuma falls out with Villarreal teammates as Everton firm up hunt to sign forward
Bournemouth have joined Everton in the race to sign Villarreal’s wantaway forward Arnaut Danjuma, with Dutch international having a “breakdown” in relations with some of his teammates, according to journalist Simon Jones.
The Daily Mail [10 January] revealed that the Toffees had made contact with the La Liga outfit to sign the former Cherries winger on a loan deal till the end of the season, with a purchase option to be activated once the deal is completed.
Though, Everton aren’t the only one in the race, with Nottingham Forest also joining [10 January] the hot pursuit for his signature, and according to latest reports, Danjuma is in huge demand as he attempts to leave the club this winter.

According to Daily Mail journalist Jones, in his Window Watch column [13 January, page 72], Danjuma’s former club Bournemouth have joined all of Everton, Aston Villa and Tottenham by expressing their interest in the winger, and a move away from Villarreal is certainly in the offing, with Jones also revealing that the Dutch international is suffering a breakdown in relations with his teammates at the Estadio de la Ceramica.
Move quickly
The race to acquire Danjuma this month is certainly hotting up with fellow strugglers Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest joining the hunt for the talented winger.
However, this is no surprise given the 25-year-old superb talents, one which can win points on his own as he’s shown numerous times throughout his career in La Liga.

With so many irons in the fire, the Toffees must move quickly if they are sure about signing the Dutch star as he could hold the keys in their attack to fire them to Premier League safety.
And the fact that he’s fallen out with teammates will give their rivals the much-needed encouragement to firm up their interest.
Danjuma’s qualities both in the final third and in front of goal are desperately needed at Goodison Park with Frank Lampard’s men having only scored 14 league goals in 18 games this season, and 15 in all competitions which make for poor reading especially considering the quality he already possesses in his squad.
Maybe, just maybe, the Dutch international could be the fire which ignites the likes of Demarai Gray, Anthony Gordon and Dwight McNeil to step up their performance levels for the remainder of the campaign.
A signing in the ilk of Danjuma can change the whole course of a season for good, that’s why he’s an absolute must-have at Goodison Park.
