Everton want to sign Danish goalkeeping sensation Mads Hermansen, strong indication of 2023 transfer

Everton are showing keen interest in signing Danish goalkeeping sensation Mads Hermansen, according to a report from Ekstra Bladet.

The Danish newspaper (13 January, page 7) shares that the 22-year-old is attracting interest from several European clubs including Napoli and PSV Eindhoven.

Premier League clubs Fulham and Bournemouth are also keen to secure his services. The Toffees have expressed their interest already, and there is a “strong indication” that he could leave in the summer of 2023.

The player himself has suggested to Ekstra Bladet that he is happy at Brondby but doesn’t wish to extend his current deal which runs until 2025.

In fact, he is also open to moving elsewhere in January, if there’s a good offer on the table.

Pickford replacement?

Are Everton already looking for a replacement for Jordan Pickford?

Surely, given the condition they are in, the club cannot afford to buy two quality goalkeepers, competition for a position that doesn’t need bolstering at the moment.

The money could be used elsewhere.

Everton

It is a clear indication that the club are probably feeling that Pickford may not sign a new deal at the club, although the club are trying their best.

Pickford has been a symbol of excellence for both club and country in the past two seasons. He has never agitated for a move, but there is a chance that he could be lured away.

To be honest, he deserves to play at a better club that are fighting for European places. Everton once again are struggling in the Premier League, and are in the relegation zone.

Last season, Pickford was outstanding for the club and helped the Toffees survive relegation. This time, he could play a similar role once again.
