Everton confirmed starting XI v Southampton - Dominic Calvert-Lewin starts
Frank Lampard has named a strong Everton starting line-up against Southampton at Goodison Park on Saturday (14 January) in the Premier League.
The Toffees are winless in their last eight games in all competitions, including six in the Premier League, and this fixture can be seen as a relegation six-pointer.
Via Twitter, the Toffees have shared the playing eleven for this game with Lampard making just one change from the side that lost 3-1 against Manchester United in the FA Cup.
Everton have made just one change – summer signing Neal Maupay has been axed from the starting line-up. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has returned in his place.
Relegation six-pointer
Southampton find themselves at the rock bottom of the Premier League. Everton are 18th in the league table, only three points above them.

If they don’t get a win here, in front of their home fans, then surely Lampard must go. If he cannot guide his team to win these types of matches, probably he won’t be able to turn it around.
This is a massive game for the Toffees. The club are without a win in their last six games in the Premier League, and the fans are frustrated with how the club is run at the moment.
Farhad Moshiri doesn’t attend games and his open letter messages leave the fans in fury. There is no leadership at the moment, and Lampard is also not helping the cause.
He needs support to bring in players, but the Toffees are not even putting up any resistance at the moment. There is no energy, no confidence, and no belief in the team, and one can’t help but wonder how Lampard is going to fix it.
Let’s hope the Toffees get a win today and bring back some positivity to the side.
