Fabrizio Romano shares Manchester United attacker Anthony Elanga transfer stance amid Everton links

Manchester United attacker Anthony Elanga would reportedly be open to joining a Bundesliga side despite interest from Everton.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Toffees still want to sign the under-performing Swiss attacker who is likely to be available on loan.

Borussia Dortmund have also explored the possibility of bringing the 20-year-old in until the end of the season and the decision now lies with United.

Via Twitter, Fabrizio Romano wrote, “Borussia Dortmund have explored the conditions of loan deal to sign Anthony Elanga from Manchester United, it’s concrete as reported by @talkSPORT. Understand player side would be open to Bundesliga move, Everton are also interested. Decision up to Man United.”

Not needed

Everton need to stop signing players at big clubs that are underperforming in the hopes that they can turn their fortunes around at Goodison Park.

Right now, Frank Lampard is already fighting such a mammoth battle to keep his job at the club and he surely will not want a player low on confidence.

What he needs is a proven goal scorer who walks into the playing eleven and we’re not sure that the Manchester United attacker does that.

Everton Frank Lampard

The best thing Everton can do is let him go to another club and focus on signing someone permanently who strengthens the playing eleven.

Ben Brereton Diaz is one such name that springs to mind and given his contractual situation, Blackburn Rovers may be open to letting him leave on the cheap.

The Toffees tried extremely hard to sign him on transfer deadline day in the summer, but in the end, he stayed on at Ewood Park.
