Simon Jordan rips into ‘ridiculous’ Farhad Moshiri for trouble at Everton
Simon Jordan has ripped into Everton owner Farhad Moshiri once again and claimed that this entire “ridiculous scenario” comes down to him.
The club is in crisis right now with the squad in the relegation zone, while fans want Frank Lampard and the board out following years of under-performance.
But after the board were told to stay away from the home defeat to Southampton due to security risks and fans were filmed angrily approaching players on the street after the game, Simon Jordan had his say while live on talkSPORT and believes that all anger should be pointed at the owner.
“Farhad Moshiri, if they’re going to take their ire out on anybody and that ire should never go beyond the realms of being unhappy, and going into the territory of physical threats, it should be at Moshiri,” he said (16 January).
“Because this ridiculous notion that the board are able to make decisions with a guy whose got the kind of money that he’s got, whether it’s his money, Usmanov’s money, whoever’s money that it is.
“He’s a 94% shareholder in Everton. He’s the guy making the decisions. This ridiculous scenario.
“The players on the pitch aren’t doing enough, they aren’t getting the team out of the cart. It’s a combination of all of them.
“The problem at Everton is, I’m sorry, the players aren’t good enough, the coach isn’t good enough, the board isn’t good enough, so you’ve got a perfect storm.”

Crazy
This whole saga has gone on for far too long and if it wasn’t already evident to the board and owner that they’re not welcome at Everton anymore then it should be now.
Obviously the scenes of Anthony Gordon being chased down the street in his car or reports of Denise Barrett-Baxendale being put in a headlock are absolutely not okay, but that’s where this has got to.
The frustrations are boiling over and the fans just want assurances that the club is going to survive, because the financial situation is horrific and relegation could be the final nail in the coffin.
On the pitch the board aren’t protecting the club by not strengthening the side during the transfer window and keeping Lampard in charge, and things are going from bad to worse.
As Jordan says, it’s now all on Moshiri because he’s the decision maker and he’s decided to dig his heels in, so this will only get worse before it gets better and we can’t afford for it to get any worse.
