Everton activate several leads as they eye first-team striker transfer

Everton are reportedly working on several fronts as they look to secure the services of a new striker in the January transfer window.

According to Foot Mercato [17 January], they are exploring the possibility of bringing in Moussa Dembele from Lyon as well.

His deal at Lyon runs out at the end of the season and the Toffees can even get him to sign a pre-contract agreement by then.

Sign someone soon

Everton have often been criticised for not being proactive in the transfer market, especially during a crisis situation.

This is certainly a tough time for Lampard and the entire team and he does need some help to be bailed out in these dire circumstances.

Dembele will certainly be a good addition to this side and we’re hoping that Kevin Thelwell can do enough to convince him to sign in January.

He does have just six months left on his deal so if Everton want they can drive down his price a great deal if there’s no other interest in him.

If they cannot sign him, having alternatives does not hurt for them and hopefully, they manage to seal it within the next week.

These things do take time but we’re hoping that something comes of it and the club aren’t in a desperate situation come deadline day.
