Everton want to sign Werder Bremen ace Niclas Füllkrug in January
Everton want to sign Werder Bremen striker Niclas Fullkrug in the January transfer window as they look to bolster their attacking options.
The Toffees have managed to score just 15 goals in 19 Premier League appearances so far this season and are keen to sign a striker to help them in their battle against relegation.
A number of strikers are said to have been approached during this window from across Europe’s top leagues, and Bild in Germany say that national team striker Fullkrug is among the Everton targets with a £17.5m asking price on his head.

“The rich English [club] have Füllkrug on the list,” they wrote (18 January).
“Money is less of an issue here. But he sees himself at a top club like Manchester United.
“But: Werder does not want to give up Füllkrug in the winter. With an offer of at least 20 million euros, one would at least start pondering on the Weser.”
Unlikely
Fullkrug came to the attention of many fans for his performances at the World Cup with Germany, where he scored twice in two games as a substitute in a poor performance for the nation.
So far this season Fullkrug has managed ten goals and two assists in 14 Bundesliga games and his physical stature seems to make him a great fit for the Premier League.

One issue that Lampard has with getting this deal over the line is that the player doesn’t seem to be very interested in joining, which makes this a bit of a non-starter.
A target man would be a great fit for the side in place of Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s fitness issues and Neal Maupay’s lack of goals, and at £17.5m it seems as though he would be a relatively cheap option.
With so many players linked it seems as though Everton are trying to cover all bases, but it will be difficult to get this one over the line now.
