Everton transfer news as Frank Lampard plays key role in Arnaut Danjuma deal – Sky Sports journalist

Frank Lampard played a key role in persuading Arnaut Danjuma to join Everton this month, according to Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge.

Danjuma chose a move to Goodison Park in the early hours of this morning after interest from France, Holland and other English clubs.

Bridge reports that there were late offers for Danjuma who was voted into the UEFA Champions League team of 2021/2022 last season.

“Danjuma chose Everton in early hours after considering late offers,” said the Sky Sports journalist on Twitter. (21 January, 9:45 AM)

“Frank Lampard played key role in deal.”

Everton

All or nothing.

It’s all or nothing for Everton on 21 January as they travel to the London Stadium to face West Ham United, a game which could be Lampard’s last in charge.

There will need to be a massive performance put out from the squad against fellow relegation strugglers West Ham and nothing less than three points is required.

Everton employed Lampard at the club for his man management skills, something he has used to full effect here in the signing of Danjuma.

This pulling power the former Chelsea boss possesses is unparalleled in the game and is a trait the Blues need to use to their advantage more often.

Danjuma could prove to be the shrewdest bit of business since Lampard took charge of the Blues and the Dutchman brings with him to Goodison an extremely credible record.

Unfortunately, he won’t be available for the clash against the Hammers but it’s likely the forward will play a big part in upcoming Premier League fixtures.
