Everton could look to Ralph Hasenhuttl to replace Frank Lampard
Everton could look to hire Ralph Hasenhuttl to replace Frank Lampard after sacking him on Monday, according to a report in The Guardian.
The Toffees are looking for their eighth manager in seven years with the club only off the foot of the table on goal difference following defeat to West Ham on Saturday at the London Stadium.
And the club could look to turn to a previous candidate for the job in ex-Southampton manager Hasenhuttl, with the Austrian currently out of work since being sacked earlier this season.

“The former Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhüttl, who was considered after Benítez was sacked, and former Burnley manager Sean Dyche could be among the candidates to succeed Lampard,” they wrote (23 January).
“Everton may also consider a temporary appointment until the end of the season.”
Gamble
Everton are in a position now where whoever comes in as manager of the football club will be a gamble, but that is needed now.
Lampard has left the club in a horrible position in the league, but realistically it won’t take much to turn things around with the bottom of the table so tight.

Hasenhuttl is available to come in right now considering he doesn’t have a job at the moment, but there is a reason for that. He has run Southampton in to a relegation battle himself just this season.
It would be an easy appointment for the board who need to save on cash and a manager who knows how to work on a shoestring on a budget.
But ultimately we need results and stability, and there should be huge question marks over whether or not Hasenhuttl is the man to come in on short notice and save this football club. Anything is better than Lampard right now though, surely.
