Everton dressing room now volcanic as tensions erupt at Goodison Park

The mood within the Everton dressing room is said to be “volcanic” as their Premier League struggles continued this week, according to the Daily Mail.

Defeats against Southampton and West Ham United have put Frank Lampard on the brink of being sacked, as he finally accepted changes are needed now.

It is reported that relations within the squad are now strained and tensions are more than brewing as things prepare to explode

Writing in The Verdict [Daily Mail, January 23, pg. 7], Dominic King shared the latest from behind the scenes at Goodison Park as things continue to get worst.

“It is said that the mood within the dressing room after the defeats by Southampton and West Ham has been volcanic, with relations strained and tensions brewing,” he wrote.

“They never showed balls, all they did was show their true colours. It is why they are taking Everton down.”

Eruption.

When a volcano starts to bubble, it eventually goes off and it looks as though we are nearing that possibility very soon at Goodison Park.

The fans have had enough, but it isn’t Lampard taking the brunt of the frustration, with the board escaping any punishment for their shocking management of the club.

In recent years, Farhad Moshiri and his board have run this great club into the ground, and it is finally exploding in their faces as they scramble to find answers.

Money isn’t there to be spent due to years of throwing cash at the wrong players and managers, and that has just left Lampard with a mountain to climb.

Everton Football Club is no longer what it used to be, and things are only going to get worse with those in charge sticking around, the immediate future is very bleak.

With Lampard expected to be given the boot, there is no such thing as hope at Goodison Park anymore.
