Fabrizio Romano shares Everton transfer news as Arnaut Danjuma loan completed today

Fabrizio Romano has shared an Everton transfer update, reporting that Arnaut Danjuma will complete his move to Merseyside today. (23 January)

This will be music to the ears of the Blues after the club fell even further into a relegation dogfight after losing to West Ham United.

The transfer guru reports that the loan will be until June 2023 and there is not a buy option expected to be involved in the deal, which will be signed off within hours.

“Danjuma deal will be signed in the next hours — medical done on Saturday and contract to be completed on Monday,” said Romano on Twitter. (23 January, 10:23 PM)

“It will be a loan until June 2023, no buy option as expected.”

Oh, dear.

Whether or not Frank Lampard will still be in charge of the Toffees for Danjuma’s first outing remains to be seen but the Englishman has finally for the forward he was craving.

Yet again, things just weren’t good enough against West Ham United and it’s hard to see a way out for Lampard from this messy situation now.

The players just aren’t performing for him and the extreme lack of confidence they have been showing is worrying, to say the least.

It’s hard to see Danjuma coming to Goodison Park and changing things immediately, things are simply that bad at the moment for the Toffees.

Fortunately, there is still plenty of time to go in the Premier League campaign and Everton still have an opportunity to get themselves out of this mess.

It doesn’t get any easier for the Blues though, with fixtures against Arsenal and Liverpool next on the Premier League agenda for the club.
