Everton make Bologna striker Marko Arnautovic top transfer target in January
Everton have reportedly made Bologna’s Marko Arnautovic their top transfer target in the January window as they eye attacking reinforcements.
According to Tutto Mercato Web [25 January], the Toffees are keen on bringing the former West Ham and Stoke City striker back to the Premier League – in which he’s scored 43 goals.
At 33, he’s currently in the Serie A and the club are short on goals with both Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Neal Maupay not being able to find the back of the net regularly this season.

Stay away
Signing someone who’s currently 33 is just the typical thing one can expect from Everton but there need to be grownups in the room telling them not to do this.
He has been known to have a tendency to be inconsistent with his performances on the field and he’s no longer a menacing presence that defenders would struggle to deal with.
Additionally, his temperament and attitude have been criticised and it’s pretty evident that he can be prone to losing his focus and getting involved in conflicts with coaches and teammates.

Another weakness that has been noted is that he tends to struggle with injuries, and this has at times affected his ability to play at his best.
At 33, his body isn’t going to get any fitter and if we were the decision makers at Everton, we would stay as far away from this as possible.
The Toffees have already contacted Arnautovic over a move so it’s pretty clear that this is something they’re seriously looking to explore.
