Everton: Sean Dyche eyeing up transfer of Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres
Sean Dyche “admires” Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres and Everton could now sign him before the January transfer deadline, according to Football League World.
The Toffees will be looking to bolster their paper-thin squad in the closing days of the winter window, and with Dyche set to be appointed by the club imminently, a flurry of action could wait in store.
Gyokeres has been outstanding for his Championship outfit so far this term, netting 12 goals in 27 appearances, and as such, Coventry have placed an £18million price tag on his services.

Ex-Burnley manager Dyche is reportedly a fan of the Swedish international and wants the Toffees to dig deep into their pockets to lure him to Goodison Park.
The Football League World report (Friday 27 January) said: “Everton are interested in signing Coventry City’s Viktor Gyokeres before the transfer deadline, Football League World can reveal.
“And, FLW have been told that Gyokeres is a player that the former Burnley chief admires, although the Sky Blues are holding out for around £18m for their star man, who has entered the final 18 months of his contract in the Midlands.”

Goalscorer
It is no surprise the Toffees are eyeing up a new attacker in the closing days of the transfer window, as only WOlves have scored fewer times than Everton in the top flight this season.
Their measly return of just 15 goals in 20 games will simply not be good enough to keep them in the Premier League if it continues, so reinforcements are needed now.
With Anthony Gordon on the verge of completing a transfer to Newcastle, Farhad Moshiri has no excuse to not pay the big bucks and meet Coventry’s £18million valuation of the striker.
Yes, the club may be overpaying, but times are desperate at Goodison Park and they need to get an attacker in the building no matter how much they pay. Everton have already failed in their pursuit of Arnaut Danjuma this month as they dawdled over the final contract negotiations, so they need to act fast if they want Gyokeres in the coming days.
