Everton attacker Anthony Gordon passes medical ahead of Newcastle transfer

Newcastle are reportedly poised to announce the signing of Anthony Gordon from Everton as he has passed his medical at St James’ Park.

According to Sky Sports journalist Keith Downie, the 21-year-old will be their second biggest signing as he arrives on a £40million+£5million deal.

Gordon was the talk of the transfer town in the summer as well, but ended up staying put at Goodison Park, but now an exit seems set in stone.

Via Twitter, Downie wrote, “Anthony Gordon has now passed his Newcastle medical

End of story

Gordon acted extremely unprofessional in the last few days and his performances clearly did not merit him behaving that way.

He fell off a cliff compared to how well he did last season and most Everton fans are glad to see the club raking in money as they see the back of him.

Hopefully, this money is now spent on backing Sean Dyche with new signings as he certainly deserves to be given a fighting chance.

If he isn’t and the club go down, he cannot be blamed as the real reason for their failure to get results towards the back end of the season.

It’s important that at least three new faces walk through the door before the transfer deadline and two are certainly needed in the final third.

Goals have come at a premium at Everton this season and it’s paramount that they sign someone who’s got a stellar track record of finding the back of the net.
