Everton transfer news as four new signings could be made before January deadline

Everton are hopeful of at least “three or four” new signings before the transfer window shuts next week with new head coach Sean Dyche ready to take over the reigns, according to Inews.

The report claims that replacing the outgoing Gordon will be one of the priorities for Dyche and the full £40m received from the forward will be used for new signings.

Inews report that the Toffees are expected to be one of the “busiest” clubs before Tuesday’s 12 pm deadline, something that will be music to the ears of Evertonians.

“The club have agreed a deal to sell Anthony Gordon to Newcastle for £40m and it has been stressed that all of that fee will be made available for player purchases with no requirement to sell for Financial Fair Play reasons,” as quoted by Inews. (27 January)

“For Everton, replacing Gordon is just one priority for incoming boss Dyche.

“The club are hopeful of at least “three or four” signings before Tuesday’s deadline, including a much-needed forward who can add firepower to one of the Premier League’s lowest-scoring sides.

“The Toffees are also looking for a winger and are expected to be one of the busiest clubs before Tuesday’s 12pm deadline.”

Actions speak louder.

We have heard it all before and actions certainly speak louder than words when it comes to making moves in the transfer window.

Nevertheless, it looks like the Blues will finally be making some moves in the January transfer window, moves that hopefully, won’t fall through last minute.

It’s been a heartbreaking few weeks for the Toffees but with Dyche soon to be arriving at Goodison Park it seems the new manager will get the transfers he craves.

This was vitally needed for Everton’s new head coach and any lack of movement this month would ultimately result in the team’s demise.

Three or four signings like the report suggests would be absolutely fantastic, given they are in positions that the team needs at the moment.

A striker has to be the priority for Dyche, even more so after the club’s failed pursuit of Arnaut Danjuma, firepower and goals are what fans have been crying out for.

Let’s see what the next few days bring in the wild and occasionally wonderful world of Everton.
