Everton: Simon Jordan rips into Anthony Gordon rat-like exit in brutal jibe

TalkSPORT co-host Simon Jordan has brutally ripped into Anthony Gordon for his Everton exit after the winger completed his £40m move to Newcastle.

Gordon has received a lot of criticism from Evertonians for how he handled his Goodison Park exit with the forward forcing through a move to St. James’ Park.

Now, Jordan has weighed in on Gordon’s behaviour likening the 21-year-old’s exit to “rats deserting a sinking ship”, admitting he hopes Gordon reaps what he sows.

“I don’t like the way he behaved towards Everton Football Club,” said Jordan on TalkSPORT. (30 January)

“Like rats deserting a sinking ship. I hope Anthony Gordon gets what he deserves, reaps what he sows.”

Everton

Bit much.

Jordan is known for his clickbait TalkSPORT outbursts so this comes as no real surprise to any keen listeners of the White and Jordan weekday show.

Nevertheless, this all seems a bit harsh on a youngster who has secured a move to a better-positioned Premier League club.

No one is denying the way Gordon handled things was absolutely terrible, especially after the club gave him a chance to showcase his talents as Jordan confessed.

But at the end of the day, what young footballer wouldn’t have their head turned by a club in the UEFA Champions League positions in the league?

Gordon was probably forced to stay this summer against his will and this is where all the trouble started, his head and heart were long gone.

You can be as sour as you like about this all, but the Gordon transfer has given the Blues an opportunity to invest in some new signings and this is the positive to take from it all.
