Kamaldeen Sulemana open to exit as Everton transfer news emerges
Everton transfer target Kamaldeen Sulemana is open to leaving Ligue 1 outfit Stade Rennes this month, according to the Daily Mail.
This news comes after transfer guru David Ornstein reported that Everton had made a verbal offer to Sulemana and Rennes on Sunday 29 January.
Nevertheless, it looks like the Blues will face stiff competition from Southampton for Sulemana’s signature after the Daily Mail shared that the club have made a £17.5m bid for the winger.

“Southampton have made an £17.5million offer for Rennes winger Kamaldeen Sulemana,” as quoted by the Daily Mail. (30 January)
“The Ghana star has already been on the radar of a few Premier League clubs including the Saints’ relegation rivals Everton.
“Sulemana only joined Rennes in the summer of 2021 from Nordsjaelland in Denmark but is open to leaving the French side this month.”

Not very Dyche.
The Daily Mail also mentions in its report that Sulemana was a transfer target of Frank Lampard whilst he was still manager of Everton.
Which begs the question? Will the new rumoured Everton boss Sean Dyche be a fan of this transfer taking place? He doesn’t seem like much of a Dyche signing.
It’s worth bearing in mind the youngster’s current injury problems too, he has only featured in 492 minutes of game time for Rennes this season.
Add his one goal and one assist during this time and it’s hard to see why the clubs from the Premier League are battling it out for his signature.
Yes, there is definitely promise there and his ceiling could be high but is he the type of player you want your club to be making in a relegation dogfight? That’s up for debate.
Let’s see what the next 24 hours bring the Blues, a new manager announcement and some signings sure would be nice right now.
