Everton transfer news as club likely to make loans due to finance issues on deadline day
Everton are likely to look for loan deals today (31 January) with limited finances available to make transfers, according to The Mirror pg. 45.
The report also claims that Everton are looking at West Ham United defender Ben Johnson, although, signing attackers remains their priority.
Everton were rumoured to have made a £45m bid for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher on 30 January, however, this has been stated as wide of the mark by the club.

“There have also been links with Hammers defender Ben Johnson, but the forward line is Dyche’s No.1 priority,” as quoted by The Mirror pg. 45. (31 January)
“Limited funds are available for transfers. Loan deals are more likely. Everton also made it clear they made no offer for Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher despite claims of a £45m bid.”

Tasty day.
Transfer deadline day could go one of two ways for the Toffees, a super successful day where problems have been solved or a gut-wrenching 24 hours with more problems made.
Things will become much clearer by the time the clock hits 11 pm this evening, by which point, Everton fans will be hoping their club has made some serious business.
Nevertheless, it seems like loans may be on the agenda for the cash-strapped Blues, something which is bizarre considering the fee they have just received for Gordon.
You’d think they would be looking to reinvest that cash into players today, wasn’t that the whole motive behind the move happening in the first place?
Things are never quite that easy with Everton and as things stand, it looks like fans should expect some temporary transfers rather than permanent fixtures in the squad today.
The Blues need to get a move on, deadline day waits around for no one and this one promises to be extremely busy, let’s hope it’s a successful one.
