Everton transfer target Sheraldo Becker will stay at Union Berlin this month- Sky Sports journalist
Sheraldo Becker will stay at Union Berlin this January after Everton registered interest in signing the forward, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The Sky Sports Germany reporter previously revealed (Monday 30 January) that Everton were looking to snap up the 27-year-old as a direct replacement for Anthony Gordon, as they made an approach with an enquiry.
Sean Dyche is desperately looking to add attacking reinforcements to his Toffees side, but the German outfit were ultimately reluctant to sell any more of their players this window.

Plettenberg tweeted (Tuesday 31 January): “News Becker: It’s decided now. Becker will stay at Union Berlin.
“No transfer to Everton. The club doesn’t want to sell any more players. Isco is completing his medical in Berlin now.”

What do Everton need to do to get a signing over the line this window?

Becker would have been a useful player on Merseyside if the club managed to snap him up, but they may need to go back in for him in the summer.
Whether he is a Dyche type of player is yet to be known, but the Englishman will be doing his due diligence on the Union Berlin forward who has scored seven goals and assisted a further four from just 18 appearances.
The Toffees desperately need to get some business done before the 11 pm deadline on Tuesday, and at least they’ve been given confirmation on the Becker deal, so they can move on and pursue other targets.
