Everton now want to sign ex-Real Madrid star Isco after Sevilla contract terminated – Paul Joyce
Everton are considering a move to sign former Real Madrid star Isco on a free transfer, according to Times journalist Paul Joyce.
Writing via The Times website on Wednesday (1 February), Joyce reported that after failed deadline-day moves to sign Kamaldeen Sulemana, Olivier Giroud, Beto, Ismaila Sarr and Anthony Elanga, the Blues have now turned their attention towards signing free agents.
Iti s understood that Andre Ayew is on their radar, as well as 30-year-old playmaker Isco, who had his contract at Sevilla terminated in December.

Farhad Moshiri and director of football Kevin Thelwell knew how important it was for Everton to strengthen the squad in January but they ultimately failed, selling Anthony Gordon for at least £40million and not signing anyone.
Bottom of the barrel
Isco isn’t a bad player.
He’s someone who’s won it all wth Real Madrid, playing 353 times for them across all competitions, scoring 53 goals and supplying 57 assists in the process.
He’s also a 38-times Spain international and played fairly regularly for Sevilla at the start of this season after joining them on a free transfer in the summer.
However, Isco’s time at Sevilla went south around October time when Jorge Sampaoli was installed as the new manager and just before Christmas, the decision was taken for the attacking midfielder’s contract to be terminated.

Isco, who’s a client of super agent Jorge Mendes, will turn 31 in April and is bound to demand big wages so we don’t really see what good will come of making a move for him.
If Everton really thought Isco – who saw a January move to Union Berlin fall through – was any good then they would have tried to sign him a lot sooner than February.
We’d be signing him for the sake of making a signing and the money made from selling Gordon to Newcastle will be slowly wasted away on what would surely be big wages for the Spanish playmaker.
It’s a no from us. But beggars can’t be choosers.
