Simon Jordan blasts Everton transfer move for free agent Andre Ayew
TalkSport co-host Simon Jordan has put rumoured Everton transfer target Andre Ayew on blast after news emerged that the Blues were making a move for the forward.
The Daily Mail reported on 31 January that the Toffees were in negotiations for the forward, who is currently a free agent and available for a move past deadline day.
Jordan believes that if Everton does opt to make a move for Ayew, it’s a transfer that “isn’t lifting anyone’s morale” at Goodison Park.

“They could still get him through the door because he is a free agent, but that ain’t going to lift anyone’s morale,” said Jordan on TalkSPORT. (1 February, 10:40 AM)
Jordan makes some wild claims sometimes but to be perfectly honest, he’s spot on with this one, Ayew just isn’t the kind of signing to lift spirits within the Everton camp.

What’s the point?
A free-agent transfer move for Ayew after the window is closed screams just what the Blues are about right now and it’s horrific viewing.
Maybe Ayew could potentially bring some goals to Goodison Park but he isn’t that guy and his potential transfer to the Blues just stinks.
The only saving grace from this past week is the appointment of Sean Dyche who will surely be able to get something out of this Everton team.
A big first game against Arsenal this weekend followed by a Merseyside derby against a failing Liverpool outfit is a tough start for Dyche, but it could be season-defining.
Big results in either of those fixtures and things begin to look a lot happier at Goodison and that might just be what the team needs to push on in their efforts this season.
At the same time, two losses against the Gunners and Reds would only intensify the sour mood around the club right now, things have never been tougher at Everton.
