Stan Collymore urges Sean Dyche to do one thing that could help Everton fight off Premier League relegation

TalksSPORT pundit Stan Collymore has urged Sean Dyche to put his arm around failing Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin to save the club from relegation.

Calvert-Lewin’s season has been plagued by injuries and the forward’s presence in the Toffees side has been sorely missed by fans and the squad.

Collymore believes that the striker refinding some confidence and form should be one of the top things on Dyche’s agenda now he is the manager of the club.

“I’m sure he will be putting his arm around someone like Dominic Calvert-Lewin and saying keep yourself fit,” said Collymore on TalkSPORT. (3 February, 14:20 PM)

“Going to put the arm around you, get you plenty of service, plenty of crosses in, plenty of balls into your feet and if they do that I think Everton have a real chance of staying up.”

Collymore is spitting absolute facts here, especially after Everton failed to sign a new striker in the January transfer window last month.

Dyche getting Calvert-Lewin fit, firing and on board with his tactics will be essential to any escape the Blues make from the relegation zone.

The new manager bounce can be fierce at times and there is no better opportunity for the team to regain some confidence than against league leaders Arsenal on 4 February.

Change is what was desperately needed at the club and hopefully, Dyche can bring about some stability in results in and around Goodison Park.

The former Burnley boss faces an uphill struggle, especially after not being backed in the dying days of the transfer window, but his Premier League experience and nouse could prove pivotal in this one.

The Toffees will now have to hope and pray that Dyche and his staff can change the fortunes of the Blues on its head, results and points are desperately needed.
