Everton transfer news does not leave Sean Dyche and club doomed in Premier League
Graeme Souness believes all is not doom and gloom for Everton and Sean Dyche despite the club not making any new signings in the January transfer window.
Dyche takes charge of his first Toffees game today (4 February) and will be hoping for an instant new manager bounce against Arsenal at Goodison Park.
Writing in the Daily Mail [print edition, pg 113] Souness confessed that Dyche has all the motivational skills and reputation to get the job done with the Blues and keep them in the Premier League.

“It does not augur well for Everton that they failed to make a single signing in January and lost their player with most potential – Anthony Gordon to Newcastle,” said Souness in the Daily Mail print edition (pg 113).
“But I still don’t believe they are doomed. Sean Dyche has a reputation for motivational skill and he will need plenty of it. Over to you, Sean.”

Time will tell.
Over the next month, it should become evident as to whether Dyche has the tools to make the most out of this Everton squad.
And results will be needed to lift the grey and gloomy cloud that has been hovering above Goodison Park for the majority of this campaign.
Goodison, however, can be Dyche’s very own new signing and he’ll need to make the ground a tough-to-visit fortress yet again.
The hostile and frantic atmosphere created at the ground is what kept the Blues in the Premier League last season and is what has won them games on countless occasions over the years.
Dyche can look to this as a safety blanket from now until the end of the season and by doing so can save Everton from their impending relegation doom.
Arsenal and Liverpool are up next for the Toffees, two tough and season-defining fixtures that will leave Everton’s new manager with no place to hide.
