Jeff Stelling unleashes on Everton live on Sky Sports after January transfer failings
Jeff Stelling has labelled Everton as a “mess” live on Sky Sports ahead of their Premier League showdown with Arsenal on Saturday 4 February.
Sean Dyche is taking charge of his first game at Goodison Park, but his side is weaker after the window with no one coming in and Anthony Gordon leaving.
Stelling posed questions to Paul Merson alongside him, and he simply could not believe what he was watching at the Toffees throughout the window as it slammed shut with nothing.

Speaking live on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday [04 February, 12:00] Stelling kicked off the show with a very strong message to his panel.
“I’ve got to say, a lot has been made this week, no signings for Everton in the transfer,” he said.
“They sacked Frank Lampard on Monday 23rd January, they appointed Sean Dyche on January 30th. So, eight days totally wasted between Lampard being sacked and Dyche being appointed. Is that indicative of the mess that is Everton?”
Merson was quizzed by Stelling, and his message was as simple as ever and pretty much sums up what everyone has been left thinking around Goodison Park.
“I can’t believe what a mess it is,” he replied.

Mountain.
Dyche can put on a smile but he will know more than anyone that this is going to be a real fight.
The former Burnley man is the perfect man to turn things around as he knows what it takes to survive in the Premier League and thrive over a longer period.
With no signings and losing Gordon though, this is a gigantic task to turn things around, especially with Arsenal and Liverpool to come as the next two.
Dyche will know that those aren’t the games that will decide the fate of the club, with the likes of Leeds, Aston Villa and Brentford to follow those.
Everton are a mess right now but that is because of Farhad Moshiri and the board, and what they have done over a number of years now, it has only just finally collapsed over recent months.
All eyes are on Goodison Park today, with kick-off only a matter of moments away.
