Stan Collymore shares reaction to 'Brilliant' Everton win v Arsenal
Stan Collymore has heaped praise on Everton after they claimed a shock win over league leaders Arsenal in Sean Dyche’s first game as manager.
The Toffees claimed all three points for the first time since October thanks to James Tarkowski’s first goal for the club, in a performance that was much improved from anything we’ve seen this season.
After the final whistle Collymore took to his personal Twitter account (4 February) to react, calling it “brilliant”.
“Brilliant, Everton, brilliant,” he wrote, accompanied by two clapping emojis and a hashtag that stood for the club motto.
Huge
What a performance, and what a win from Everton in a game where just a good showing would arguably have been enough for the fans.

Arsenal have been absolutely flying this season, but we restricted them to an xG of less than one and created the better chances throughout the game meaning we thoroughly deserved our win.
The team battled hard, won their individual duels against the team that have been runaway leaders this season and showed the spirit that fans demand.
Dyche said pre game that the “minimum requirement is maximum effort” and that is exactly what Everton fans and players both want and need to hear.
There is plenty of time left in this season to turn it around and if that level becomes the standard, it’ll take a mighty effort from those around us for the Toffees to be relegated.
Keep pushing and keep performing like that and the fans will be right behind you all the way. Anything less will be seen as lazy, because we know the players are more than capable now.
