Everton: Sean Dyche to set up meeting with Steven Defour and Amadou Onana
Everton boss Sean Dyche is ready to set up a meeting between Amadou Onana and his former Burnley midfield maestro Steven Defour, according to the Daily Mail.
The report claims that the move from Dyche is in a bid to “accelerate” Onana’s blossoming Premier League career by gaining some vital knowledge from Defour.
Onana was simply brilliant for the Toffees in the club’s astounding 1-0 win over Arsenal on 4 February, a win that got Goodison Park bouncing again.
“To accelerate his development, Dyche will set up a meeting with Onana and Steven Defour, a Belgian who shone at Burnley and was once coveted by Manchester United,” as quoted by the Daily Mail. (6 February)
“The idea is to get Defour’s experience of the league and explain to the 21-year-old what he must do to shine.”
No messing around.

If fans who were weary about Dyche’s appointment at Goodison Park, they were sleeping happily on Saturday evening in a game where the club looked back to its old self.
Fierce, competitive and bold in their approach, Everton took it to a silky smooth Arsenal side and beat the Gunners on every blade of grass on the Goodison surface.
It was like watching the Everton teams of yesterday when Goodison was a fortress and clubs, no matter their stature left with their tails between their legs.
It’s about time Evertonians had some good luck and Dyche had this side playing like a club that were no way near the Premier League relegation zone.
Obviously, results need to continue but the way the Englishman has transformed belief within a matter of days at the club is astonishing.
A tired and frail Liverpool side are up next for the Toffees., a triumph at Anfield would all but cement Dyche’s claim to the Blue Merseyside throne.
