Super Computer makes Everton relegation prediction in Premier League

Everton are still predicted to be relegated from the Premier League this season, according to Five Thirty-Eight and their Super Computer.

It is shared that the Toffees still stand a 52% chance of dropping into the Championship despite their 1-0 win over Arsenal on Saturday 4 February.

Sean Dyche rejuvenated a previously defeated squad to bully the Premier League leaders at Goodison Park, but more is still needed it seems.

The current bottom three in the Premier League are still favourites to go down to the Championship, with Southampton and Bournemouth backed to finish in the last two spots.

It may come down to the lack of January action at Goodison Park, with Anthony Gordon’s exit leaving the squad weaker on paper – with injuries now a big worry.

Hope.

After weeks of dismal displays leaving the Goodison faithful with no hope, Dyche has arrived and flipped that upside down completely with the squad looking completely different.

Of course, it was only one game and we can’t get ahead of ourselves, but taking it one game at a time and picking up wins here and there, is critical for Everton.

Dyche knows the three points against Arsenal will mean nothing if they are not backed up over the next month with the Merseyside derby being followed by games against the likes of Leeds.

There is still a long way to go in the Premier League, and one game can catapult clubs up the table dramatically still, so the worry is minimal right now.

If injuries do start to mount though, that is when it becomes an issue for the Toffees, who look to have a paper-thin squad right now, although fingers crossed that doesn’t happen.

Everton is rocking right now, long may that continue.
