Alan Shearer gushes over Everton duo and Sean Dyche after Arsenal win
Alan Shearer has chosen to name Everton duo James Tarkowski and Amadou Onana in his Team of the Week after the 1-0 win against Arsenal.
The English defender kept a clean sheet and scored the winning goal while the Belgian was tireless in the middle of the park for the Toffees.
Shearer was also impressed by how Sean Dyche took over this team and made them capable enough to beat Arsenal after just a week.

Writing on the Premier League website, he stated, “James Tarkowski: Dominated Eddie Nketiah at one end and scored the winner at the other.
“Amadou Onana: A tireless display against Arsenal. Ran himself into the ground.
”Manager: Sean Dyche – His game plan worked to perfection, as his side earned a vital win in his first match at the helm.”
Hard to disagree
Even in our player ratings for the game, Tarkowski and Onana ended up with the highest scores and that’s credit to them for following the manager’s orders to the T.
If Dyche was included in it, he would perhaps get a 10/10 as nobody expected him to get this side good enough to beat the league leaders after just a few days of training.

It wasn’t an unconvincing victory where they were lucky to pick up the three points, but a properly planned performance to silence the runaway leaders.
The Everton boss asked two players to mark Bukayo Saka and that was a pattern that was followed all game, keeping the England international quiet.
His decision to go with a midfield three instead of his preferred 4-4-2 formation also paid off as the Gunners had no answers for his system.
Every game isn’t going to be a perfect outcome but this was as near as it can get to being a thorough performance in all areas of the pitch.
