Everton transfer news as club could bow to pressure of free agents market

Everton could bow to the “pressure” of dipping into the free agents market to sign talents who aren’t on their wish list, according to journalist Paul Brown.

The Blues failed to make any signings in the January transfer window, however, new head coach Sean Dyche could look to bolster his squad.

Brown confessed that there are still free agents out there that the Toffees could make moves for and it wouldn’t surprise him if Everton tried to get some business done.

“I know the deadline has passed, but there are still free agents out there and it would not surprise me if Everton bowed to the pressure and brought one of those in,” said Brown to GIVEMESPORT. (6 February)

“Despite them not being high on their wish list at the beginning of the window.”

Worth avoiding.

Making some late moves in the free agent market is worth avoiding, especially if they are talents that the club weren’t even considering anyway.

If the squad was hit by some unsuspected injuries then it would make sense, however, even though the team obviously needs bolstering, it looks like Dyche can get the best out of what he currently has.

Adding a free agent, who might not necasserily be fit enough to cope with the demands of the Premier League just seems like a waste of time.

The club need to have a proper plan when it comes to the transfer window and this should start in the summer with Dyche having a massive say on who and what he wants.

Scrambling round for free agents just screams panic at this point and after the Blues performance against Arsenal, it doesn’t seem like it’s even needed.

Summer will be huge in terms of transfers and outgoings at the club and this is where the club’s attention needs to turn after securing Premier League safety.
