Simon Jordan shares pressure verdict ahead of Everton clash v Liverpool

TalkSPORT co-host Simon Jordan believes that there is far more pressure on Liverpool than Everton ahead of the Merseyside derby on 13 February.

Jordan shared his thoughts ahead of the crucial Premier League clash where three points are vital to both the Blues and Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Jordan admitted that because Klopp and Liverpool could get beat with another “stinker” of a performance by Everton that leaves the Reds in a more precarious position.

“Who needs this result more? Well if Klopp gets beat again with such a stinker of a performance that they’ve had recently then the narrative will start to build up that he’s lost it,” said Jordan live on TalkSPORT.

“If Everton put in another really good performance but lose that’s less of a challenge.”

Everton

Let’s go.

Confidence is high on the Blue side of Merseyside heading into Monday evening’s big derby clash after a classy and tireless win over Arsenal.

Sean Dyche has added a calm and organised air to the squad so far in his short stay and hopefully, the new manager bounce can continue into the rest of the campaign.

The Blues are far from the finished article but there are signs that Dyche and his coaching staff might be the perfect appointments to carry this team forward.

Trips to Anfield have never gone according to plan for the Blues but with Liverpool running short on confidence this is the perfect time to capture some points there.

And Jordan isn’t wrong when he says that there is less pressure on the Toffees than their Merseyside counterparts, something that should play in the favour of Dyche’s side.

Either way, it’s going to be an interesting and fiery affair at Anfield on Monday evening.
