Former Jose Mourinho assistant Rui Faria impressed Farhad Moshiri after Everton interview
Rui Faria, Jose Mourinho’s assistant at Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid, reportedly interviewed for the Everton managerial vacancy.
According to the Times [14 February], he left Farhad Moshiri impressed with his plans to keep the Toffees in the Premier League.
However, the club decided to go for Sean Dyche who also left a good mark on the hierarchy and was handed the job.

One for the future?
For once, we think that Everton made the right decision as they stuck with someone tried and tested who’s been in these kinds of situations before.
Dyche has bailed Burnley out on several occasions and he’s now got to repeat that feat at Goodison Park with a fresh set of players.
Faria was impressive as Mourinho’s assistant and helped him win 27 major trophies before parting ways to begin his own managerial career.

We’re unsure as to what his style of play is and possibly whenever he gets a job, the Toffees will be keeping an eye on him.
Even though Dyche has only just got the job, it does nobody any harm to have a list in place in case things go south in the future.
The shelf life of a manager these days is not too much longer than two seasons and Dyche may not even be at the club if he fails to keep them up this season.
