West Ham attacker Michail Antonio blown away as footage emerges from Everton v Liverpool Merseyside derby
West Ham attacker Michail Antonio was thrilled by Liverpool ace Mo Salah’s goal against Everton in the first half on Monday, 13 February.
James Tarkowski’s header hit the post and the Reds were quick to hit them on the break and capitalise on the error made by Jordan Pickford.
Liverpool added another one in the second half and ended up winning the game 2-0.
Reacting to the footage above on Premier League Productions’ half-time show (13/02, 20:53), Antonio said, “Unbelievable break. Dangerous. But it’s what Liverpool do.”
Crazy
Everton had started the game well and did a good job to keep the Reds at bay until that goal.
They only managed to score against the run of play and that sucked the life out of the Toffees as they did not seem like they had the confidence to get back in the game.
After that, they were passive and the players appeared to lack the desire to fight for the jersey – something that’s happened a lot this season.

Sean Dyche will have liked certain aspects and he will spend this week to work on the things he didn’t as it’s an important game against Leeds United next.
They’re likely to have their manager in place and the bounce from that will mean that they’re going to be a predictable side to play against.
The Toffees have to tighten up defensively and find a solution to their lack of goals as Ellis Simms may not be ready for that role yet.
