Everton must find the funds for ‘artist’ Club Brugge winger Noa Lang

Everton must find the funds for Club Brugge ace Noa Lang after the club were linked with making a move for the winger by Calciomercato on 14 February.

Lang is no stranger to suitors from around Europe and has consistently impressed with his UEFA Champions League performances, none more so than last night against Benfica.

The silky-smooth winger was described as an “artist” by Opta Johan, the football statistics Twitter page for Dutch and Belgian football coverage.

“12 – Noa Lang completed 12 dribbles for Club Brugge against Benfica,” said OptaJohan on Twitter. (16 February, 8:48 AM)

“Only Neymar has made more in a single game within the last seven UEFA Champions League campaigns (4 times). Artist.”

Game changer.

If Everton wants to get serious about reinvigorating their attacking options, then making a move for Lang has to be the obvious choice this summer.

Silky, and speedy with a box full of tricks to match, Lang’s impressive engine and never say die attitude would be perfect for the relentless pace of the Premier League.

Lang would be a like-for-like replacement of the £45m Anthony Gordon and is actually far more seasoned than the former Everton youngster.

It was disappointing, to say the least, to be an Evertonian in January and the club must make up for their mistakes by going large in the summer months.

Limited attacking options have plagued the Toffees squad for far too long and if Premier League survival is secured then this has to be rectified.

Acquiring the signature of Lang makes perfect sense if so and he’s the kind of game-changer fans have been crying out for since the departure of Richarlison.

Lang can be that guy for the Blues.
