Everton transfer news as Sean Dyche drops diligent scouting claims

Sean Dyche has claimed that Everton scouts are trying to work “diligently” across the board to identify the right transfer targets for the club.

Dyche has one win and one loss to his name after taking over the reins from Frank Lampard on the Blue half of Merseyside.

Hopefully, with plenty of time between now and the summer transfer window, Dyche and the Everton scouts can draw up a good list of affordable and savvy talents to approach.

“We’re trying to get our scouts working diligently across the board to identify the right targets,” said Dyche as quoted by Liverpool Echo journalist Christopher Beesley on Twitter. (16 February, 1:51 PM)

After an absolutely shambolic January transfer window, the Toffees have left Dyche and his team with an uphill struggle to get things right this season.

Different approach.

A different approach towards transfers is massively needed at Goodison Park and hopefully, Dyche has brought with him some new ideas and tactics to get deals over the line.

The Englishman’s man management skills and connections within the English game will surely play their part in securing Everton some better signings this summer.

It would be made a whole lot tougher however if the club were to be relegated to the Championship and this would mean any targets now would be thrown out of the window.

With the club already in questionable financial straits, who knows what relegation would mean for any incomings at the club this summer?

Whatever the case may be, acting early and fast in the window is desperately needed and the club can ill-afford waiting until deadline day as they have done in recent transfer windows.

A Premier League crunch clash awaits the Toffees next against Leeds United on 18 February in a game that promises to be an absolute barnstormer.
