Mason Holgate is finished at Everton as Sean Dyche decision at Goodison clear for all to see
Everton defender Mason Holgate could be finished at Goodison Park as Sean Dyche holds a key decision to make regarding the Toffees’ messy FFP situation.
Holgate, who has been a long-time servant at the Merseyside club, making 145 appearances is one of the club’s highest earners at over £70k-a-week.
The Toffees are currently serious financial pressure and are have had all their transfer deals scrutinised by the Premier League to ensure they are complying with FFP.

After spending relatively big in the summer, the Telegraph (16 January) reported last month that the club were under pressure to sell at least one big earner, with two of their defenders attracting interest from elsewhere.
The Toffees sold one of their prized assets in Anthony Gordon to Newcastle United for £45m, but will certainly need to fund more sales if they are to steer clear of any further FFP pressure.
Everton received a lot of interest in Holgate and Michael Keane last month, with Nottingham Forest and Leeds United previously reportedly [Liverpool Echo, 14 January] to be interested in signing the former.
The club are expected to undergo a huge rebuild in the summer, regardless of their Premier League status with many of their huge earners and stars expected to leave Goodison Park in order to fund recruits, and Holgate is certainly one of the players high on the list of potential departures this summer.
The 26-year-old has only featured four times in the Premier League so far this campaign, with both Frank Lampard and Dyche favouring the likes of James Tarkowski and Conor Coady as their preferred defensive duos.
Holgate, along with Keane and Yerry Mina are all expected to be shipped out this summer, with the club not only aiming to comply with FFP rules but cut down a bloated squad in order for Dyche to undergo the rebuild he needs.
