Simon Jordan shares Everton relegation verdict as Premier League managerial merry-go-round in full swing

Simon Jordan believes Sean Dyche will guide Everton to safety in the Premier League amid the current managerial merry-go-round in the division.

The Toffees hired the former Burnley boss in January after sacking Frank Lampard, and claimed their first win since October in their first game under his tenure although they still sit in the relegation zone.

Leeds and Southampton have since sacked their managers and are having troubles finding replacements currently, and while speaking on talkSPORT (16 February, 10:57) Jordan admitted that he feels the Saints will get relegated leaving the final spot between Everton and the Whites.

“But I think they’re gone anyway. Both of them [Southampton and Leeds],” he said.

“Well I don’t know if Leeds are because we have to see what Sean Dyche can do. My belief is that Sean Dyche will get them [Everton] out of trouble. That must mean, by consequence, that Leeds have to go. Or someone like Leeds.

“I can’t run two arguments at the same time. But the point is that I think Leeds are in grave danger, but I think their team is good enough to get out of it.

“And then of course I think Sean Dyche is good enough to get Everton out of it, but one of them is going to go.”

Tight

It’s going to be an incredibly tight end to the season, and Everton must find a way to start scoring goals and picking up points on a regular basis.

Everton

The win over Arsenal was excellent, obviously, but the performance that followed against Liverpool at Anfield was sloppy and showed just how bad the team can be.

Jordan seems convinced that Bournemouth and Southampton will go down, leaving just one spot, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be one of Everton or Leeds that follow. West Ham are only one point above Leeds and while Wolves and Nottingham Forest have moved away in recent weeks, a run of bad form could easily see them fall back into it.

There’s a long way to go, but right now there’s no point looking at the teams around us because until we improve ourselves it doesn’t matter what everyone else is doing as we’ll be going down anyway.
