Everton: Udinese forward Beto would be match made in heaven with Sean Dyche

Everton are eyeing up a summer transfer for in-form Udinese forward Beto but will command a fee of around £27m for his services, according to Tutto Udinese.

The fearsome forward would be a match made in heaven with Sean Dyche and could be the man to finally solve the Blues’ centre-forward problems.

Freelance journalist Sam Tighe applauded Beto for how he “spooks defenders” in Serie A, admitting that opposition players panic under his pressure.

“The way Beto (Udinese) spooks defenders is amazing,” said Tighe on Twitter. (12 February)

“Chuck a ball into the channel for him to chase and even if he doesn’t latch onto it, defenders panic under his pressure and end up making the craziest decisions or panicked clearances.”

What the Toffees need.

A centre-forward who makes defenders panic and do crazy things under pressure you say? Beto sounds exactly like the kind of player Dyche needs.

And his £27m price tag isn’t even that bad when you consider the outlandish money and fees that are being thrown about in the Premier League at the moment.

There are no doubts that Dyche and Everton need some reinforcements at the club with Richarlison long gone and Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s constant injury problems.

Premier League stats seem to back up Everton’s need for a forward like Beto too, the Toffees currently have the worst goal tally in the entire league with 16 goals to their name.

Beto on the other hand is thriving in the Italian top flight this season, scoring seven goals and delivering one assist in 22 appearances.

The Portuguese forward is a massive menace to defensives and his imposing height and physical attributes would be perfect for the rough and tough Premier League.
