Everton confirmed XI in Premier League clash v Leeds United
Everton have confirmed their starting XI for their Premier League clash against Leeds United on Saturday 18 February with one change made.
Sean Dyche decided to make one changes to the Everton side that lost 2-0 to Liverpool at Anfield bringing in Neal Maupay to replace youngster Ellis Simms coming into the team to start against Leeds.
As confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off, Dyche made the decision yet again to bench the in-form Everton forward Demarai Gray for the game, who is the club’s top scorer this season.
Must win.
Goodison Park will be needed to be at his intimidating best when Leeds United come to the Blue half of Merseyside on 18 February.
This game could prove to be a huge turning point in the Premier League season for both teams involved and a win for either side would do wonders.
Dyche will be hoping the same Everton side that turned up against Arsenal in his first game in charge of the Toffees comes to play this afternoon.
If so, the Blues have a solid chance of getting three points today, however, if the Toffees put in a performance like the one against Liverpool it could be a long game.
Evertonians would be more than happy with six points gained from a possible nine since the arrival of Dyche and this would do a lot to lift spirits around the club.
Things certainly haven’t been great in recent times but Dyche has brought a new sense of belief and calm with him to Goodison and hopefully this translates onto the pitch more often than not.
