Everton have more chance of Champions League than Chelsea – Andy Gray

Andy Gray believes Everton have got “more chance” of finishing in the top four than Chelsea in the Premier League this season.

Everton currently sit 10 points behind the London club in the league standings after Graham Potter’s side failed to take off so far in 2023.

Sean Dyche finally catapulted Everton out of the relegation zone this weekend after securing a 1-0 win over Leeds United at Goodison Park.

“I think Everton have got more chance of making the top four than Chelsea,” said Gray live on BeIN SPORTS. (19 February)

“There’s no chance of them making the top four, not a cat in hell’s chance.”

Everton

Brighter days.

Things are starting to look slightly brighter at Goodison Park and Dyche has certainly got the team playing to his music at the moment.

The game against Leeds United was a pretty dull affair and a game that again highlighted the Blues’ poor attacking assets throughout.

Nevertheless, three points were what fans really wanted on the day and Evertonians will take that over a glossy performance any day of the week.

Aston Villa, Arsenal and Nottingham Forest are next up in the Premier League for the Blues and more points will be needed from Dyche’s side to ease relegation fears.

Even more so with teams in and around the Toffees in the bottom half of the league all gaining points from this weekend’s set of matches.

All in all, Dyche has made Everton a tougher package to overcome and this bodes well for how the team should progress under him as the season nears its end.
