Everton must launch bid for Davide Frattesi after Fabrizio Romano praise
Everton want to sign Italian maestro £31m rated Davide Frattesi from Serie A outfit Sassuolo this summer and are willing to outbid Juventus for his signature, according to TuttoJuve.
And it would be a shrewd bit of business from the Toffees with the maestro being seen as a potential future star of the Italian national team.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has even given his verdict on Frattesi, confessing that the midfielder is “super talented” and a “very interesting” proposition.

“You know that Sassuolu had Manuel Locatelli who’s now moved to Juventus and had a fantastic Euros with Italy, and the next big thing they have is this boy, David Frattesi, who has grown up with Roma,” said Romano to empireofthekop.
“He’s a different midfielder. Smaller, not as big as Pobega (also good physical structure) but technical player – he reminds me of Barella.
“Fratesi seems to be the next Barella. He’s this kind of player, super talented, very interesting, and Sassuolo are prepared to sell their players if top clubs pay.”

Relegation pending.
Making transfers for supremely talented players like Frattesi will all depend on whether or not Everton survives in the Premier League this season.
Something that is looking ever more likely as the weeks passes by, with Sean Dyche already gaining six points from a possible nine.
Whilst the engine room at Everton is fairly bolstered right now, the Italian would provide a welcome change to the likes of Tom Davies, the ageing Idrissa Gana Gueye and Abdoulaye Doucoure.
Signing a striker this summer obviously has to be the club’s priority but strengthening in all areas of the squad must happen after two bleak transfer windows.
If the dreaded drop is avoided then Dyche needs a bit of an overhaul with this squad and entertaining bids for top talents like Frattesi will be needed to compete on all fronts next season.
The Italian’s contract at Sassuolo comes to an end in 2026 but as Romano highlighted above, for the right amount of money, the Serie A side would be willing to do business.
This is definitely a move the Toffees should explore.
