Brilliant news

There’s been a lot of doom and gloom at Everton over the last couple of years so it’s important for Evertonians to seize every bit of good news they can.

Pickford’s new contract is one thing but a new deal for Iwobi is also massive.

Over the last 12 months, it’s fair to say that the former Arsenal midfielder has been one of the best players the Toffees have had.

Frank Lampard did wonders by converting the Nigeria international into a central midfielder as he managed to get some really good performances out of him to help keep us in the Premier League last season.

Sean Dyche has seen Iwobi play more out wide in recent weeks.

As per transfermarkt, the ex-Arsenal man started on the right against his former club the Gunners and Liverpool.

He then started on the left-wing against Leeds, assisting Seamus Coleman’s goal that won the game.

Iwobi has been invaluable and really deserves a new contract.

Pickford does too but that really does go without saying.
