Everton may submit £26m transfer offer for Udinese striker Beto

Everton target Beto is reportedly likely to leave Udinese in the summer as the club are finding it difficult to retain his services beyond the summer.

According to Udinese Blog [22 February], the Toffees could repropose to sign the Portuguese forward in the summer with a £26million offer.

The Toffees submitted a bid a tad shy of that amount on transfer deadline day and it was rejected by the Serie A club.

Perfect Dyche player?

Sean Dyche, who was appointed extremely late in the window, may have intended to sign the 6 feet 4 inch tall player as he’s reminscent of the players he brought in at Burnley.

The 25-year-old stands at 6ft 4in tall and is good in the air which makes sense given how the Toffees have played under Dyche.

Tall, powerful attackers who can be a threat in the air and use their physicality to include others in the game are preferred by Dyche.

Beto fits the criteria and is a capable goal scorer, but the Toffees will need to go above and beyond to get him.

In the summer, more teams will certainly be interested in signing him, and Everton may have to pay more than what they were willing to pay last month.

Spending that much money on a striker who hasn’t proven himself in the Premier League or at a truly elite team is a risk, especially given how tight the finances are at Goodison Park.
