Farhad Moshiri to finally axe Bill Kenwright with advanced talks underway at Goodison Park
Everton chairman Bill Kenwright could finally be axed from his post after reports emerged revealing that majority owner Farhad Moshiri is in advanced talks with MSP Capital for a part-sale.
The firm, headed by Jahm Najafi, have reportedly been in constant dialogue with Moshiri over the purchase of as much as a quarter of the club, valued at £105million.
The billionaire owners were reportedly linked with a £3.5bn buyout of Spurs last week [iNews, 15 February], but latest reports have suggested that the Blues are the subject of an approach.

According to iNews, reporting on 22 February, an investment could be secured in the “near future” with negotiations understood to be at an advanced stage.
Moshiri wants to bring expertise and advice to the club as well as investment and seats on the board are being talked about for Najafi, Jeff Moorad and Pete Taylor from the firm as revealed by the report.
And that could well leave Kenwright’s role as Toffees chairman in serious jeopardy, following his mismanagement and incompetence in running the famous entity into the ground.

The 77-year-old has been the subject of much criticism and unrest among Everton supporters with many fans demanding that he and the rest of the club board stay away from attending matches at Goodison Park for the foreseeable future.
Kenwright has been slandered for his lack of communication and leadership as club chairman for a number of years, and with the board member reaching the latter stages of his career, Moshiri may well be inclined to finally sack him, with the club potentially coming under new significant investment.
Change is severely needed at Goodison Park, and Kenwright seems to be at the forefront of that demand.
