Sean Dyche wants Everton to return for Udinese striker Beto in the summer transfer window

Sean Dyche has told Everton to sign Udinese striker Beto after wanting him in the January transfer window but failing to get him over the line.

Udinese Blog claim on 22 February that Dyche was the one who told the club to sign the Portuguese and that they’re prepared to return to the table for them.

Everton failed to sign anyone in the January window, announcing Dyche’s appointment just a few days before the deadline.

Much needed

Anyone who’s watched the Toffees playing this season know that they’re lacking a proper talisman to lead the line.

They do not have anyone who can be the target man and hold up the ball to bring other players into the game.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin did that but his fitness record hasn’t been the best and an upgrade on him is certainly needed.

Everton

Beto is a towering forward who’s known to run the hard yards and also use his physicality to outmuscle opponent defenders.

There are no surprises that Dyche wanted to bring him at Goodison Park as he fits the mould of a striker the former Burnley boss likes.

With Calvert-Lewin still out injured, the Toffees would have a much different attacking approach had they signed Beto.

Hopefully, the board backs him with the right targets when the window opens in June.
