Everton confirmed XI in Premier League clash v Aston Villa
Everton have confirmed their starting XI for their Premier League clash against Aston Villa on Saturday 25 February with zero change made.
Sean Dyche decided to make zero changes to the Everton side that beat Leeds United at Goodison Park last weekend, with Amadou Onana making the starting XI after limping off against the Whites.
As confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off, Dyche made the decision yet again to bench Everton forward Demarai Gray for the game, who is the club’s top scorer this season.
Another one.
Everton will get another chance to play in front of their 12th man today and hopefully, Goodison Park will be at its roaring best for the visit of Unai Emery’s Villa.
Dyche has the chance to take his points total to nine out of a possible 12, a staggering feat considering where the team were at when he joined the club.
Building up points and wins has to be the main objective for the Blues right now and fans will want to see this team steered well clear of the dreaded drop zone.
Jordan Pickford signing a new and improved contract this week is some welcomed news and hopefully, this can set a trend of top talents committing their futures to the team.
The England number one will be needed to be at his very best today against the likes of Ollie Watkins and Philippe Coutinho in the Villa setup, this game is very much up for grabs.
