Besiktas manager Senol Gunes slams Everton loanee Dele Alli yet again
Besiktas manager Senol Gunes has made it clear that Everton loanee Dele Alli will leave the club at the end of the season, irrespective of whether he plays well or not from here on.
The 26-year-old attacking midfielder joined the Turkish club on loan but has struggled to impress, managing only two goals in the Super Lig.
Gunes, who has previously criticized Alli publicly saying he doesn’t deserve to play at the moment [Liverpool Echo], has expressed his frustration saying the midfielder is not contributing at all with goals and assists.
Alli played only 45 minutes in a 0-0 draw for his side against bottom-half side Antalyaspor, and the Besiktas boss feels that the former Tottenham midfielder didn’t live up to the expectations.
“Alli did not add the efficiency we thought of as a game. We work physically and tactically,” said Gunes to Haberturk.
“Alli played in two friendly matches. He did positive things. He runs a lot, but he has problems in assisting and scoring goals.

“He also ran today, but he did not contribute. He is a player with a high probability of leaving at the end of the year, whether he plays well or badly.”
Waste
Alli joined from Tottenham in the previous January window, signed by Frank Lampard, but he was sent on loan to Besiktas in the summer.
Lampard challenged him to rediscover the form that made him one of the stars of the Premier League, but now that he is gone, it remains to be seen if Sean Dyche incorporates him into his plans.
His overall performances have been below par, and Besiktas now have reservations about signing him permanently. In fact, they do not seem interested in taking that option at all.
It seems like the decision to send him out on loan has been vindicated as he was not doing enough. He still has the age on his side but doubts remain over his long-term future at Everton.
It’s a shame that a player of his caliber has completely ruined his career. He is not doing any justice to his vast talent, and only he is responsible for this.
He finds himself in this place purely due to a lack of application and hard work. It seems like his future lies away from Goodison Park next season unless Dyche has other plans.
