Everton playing ‘dangerous’ game as Dominic Calvert-Lewin can’t be relied upon
Everton are playing a “dangerous” game by hanging the prospect of their Premier League survival on the shoulders of injured star Dominic Calvert Lewin, according to the Daily Mail’s Dominic King.
The Blues continue to struggle in front of goal in the Premier League and Sean Dyche seems stuck for ideas without the Englishman leading his frontline.
King confessed that other Everton talents need to step up in the absence of Calvert-Lewin who has provided the “cutting edge” for the Toffees in the past.

“Everything is being hung on the prospect of Dominic Calvert-Lewin returning to provide the cutting edge,” said King as quoted by the Daily Mail. (26 February)
“But it is dangerous to assume that he will remain fit through the run-in. It is up to others to step forward and take responsibility.”

Let down.
Dyche and Everton have been let down by the board’s inability to sign a new forward in the summer and January transfer window.
And it’s a decision that is looking like it may cost the Blues their Premier League status for next season, especially if things carry on like this.
Pinning hopes on the out-of-form and constantly injured Calvert-Lewin is never going to end well but unfortunately, this is where the Toffees are right now.
It is indeed a dangerous game that the Toffees are playing right now and dancing with relegation seems to be the reality of this campaign.
The Blues sank back into the relegation zone this weekend and yet again things are starting to look murky and bleak in and around Goodison Park.
It’s time other individuals stepped up in Calvert-Lewin’s absence and take this team by the scruff of the neck in terms of scoring goals.
