Tim Cahill shares warm message with former Everton striker Richarlison at FIFA awards
Tim Cahill shared a warm embrace with former Everton striker Richarlison at the Best FIFA Football Awards in Paris on Monday night (27 February) and admitted how much the club missed him on Merseyside.
Richarlison was present at the ceremony after being nominated for the Puskas Award for his sublime goal against Serbia at the Qatar World Cup.
The former Toffees player now plays for Spurs after completing a £50million move last summer, after scoring 43 goals for the club over a well-loved four-year stay at Goodison Park.

Everton legend Cahill couldn’t hold back how he missed the 25-year-old playing in a Blues shirt, with the club struggling in front of goal this season and languishing in the relegation zone.
As shared by The Toffee Blues on Twitter (Monday, 27 February), he told Richalison: “We miss you at Everton.”

Although Richarlison had his fair share of ups and downs at Everton, he was integral in keeping the club in the Premier League last season. In the relegation run-in under Frank Lampard, the striker scored vital goals against both Crystal Palace and Chelsea before famously throwing a flair into the stands of Goodison Park.
However, without the forward this season, Everton have looked rudderless in attack.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has remained sidelined for the most part of the season, while Neal Maupay has never left first gear since moving from Brighton in the summer. In the first four matches of Sean Dyche’s tenure at the club, a centre-back and a right-back are the only players to have scored a goal – highlighting just how much Richarlison is missed.
After 24 games of the season, Dyche’s men are sitting in the bottom three and face a tough trip to league-leaders Arsenal on Wednesday (29 February).
